This artwork delves into the critique of the justice system in cases of sexual aggressions, departing from a personal experience with the justice system of The Netherlands. Through symbols such as the altar of justice, I make the statement of how unacceptable it is for justice to sacrifice survivors in sake of justice. The swinging of the gavel 4 times an hour and the printing of 8 or 9 denunciations a day highlight how often these crimes occur and how they are dismissed based on facts of 2021 and 2022.
